Shipping From Mid-Atlantic to Playa

Postby swoopee57 » Thu Apr 12, 2007 7:17 am

I'm in Gettysburg PA. I have a large sculpture that I'm going to take out to the playa and want to get it shipped. I heard about the New York Burners maybe having a cargo container that they were shipping. But I will need a good but of space for just mine. Maybe need 10'x10'x10'.

I'm looking for anyone in the PA, MD, VA or WV areas that might want to share the shipping cost to take all of our stuff out there.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tim

I didn't answer the poll because I have no idea of the costs involved in shipping over that distance.

I can tell you that trucking large things yourself is always an adventure. We have towed lots of trailers over the Sierras, with lots of pounds. Too many pounds, perhaps.

Rule 1: It will always take longer than you plan.

Rule 2: Something will always break.

Rule 3: You'll get there anyway.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice. I know that the sculpture will get there one way or another. It will be an adventure to say the least!

Have a great day,
Tim
