Thousands of people were wandering aimlessly around. To find themselves, or express themselves, I'm told.

I have to wonder why the writer is so offended by this?

There seems to be something for everybody at Burning Man. He can start a Christianity Camp if he wants.

Is there such a thing?

No....there is not....and they are not welcome.

Start letting the intellectual midgets in and soon we'll all end up shorter in stature.

aahh, Roberto........

do you fear the jewish carpenter and his pals?.......hate and such often eminates from the innate fear.........

I see them, as a lovely little puppy.........they've been around such a short time, compared to the Old Gods........
their eyes are just not open yet......they're cute and cuddly, and, fond of suckling (a grand trait, IMHO).
sometimes they poop in the blankets........
they have cute little barks and, some of us love puppy breath.......

so,
if we just care for them, they'll open their eyes at a point.........

do you have the same attitude towards the yamica gang? minnaret yodlers, fans of the fat yoga yoda?...........

your normanl grace and aplomb defy you to be smarmy........

I envision you riding your steed, fencing with windmills, and, waving to your adoring people, rose in teeth.........

just sayin'.......

While finding my way home in a raging dust storm I came upon another wonderer. When I asked him if he knew where we were his reply was, "Not all who wander are lost."

We compared notes and found our way to a recognizable landmark and parted ways.

I'm thinking that's from the Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.

The first I ever heard of the burning man festival was when i was wandering around websites of religious fanatics.
I don't think it was the same one though.
The line I remember distinctly was him saying that people at burning man were "literally celebrating that they are going to hell."

I then decided to look up the festival for real! I can't even remember how long ago that was maybe 5-10 years ago.

You caught me, I am being sent on mission by my church to save the souls of all you wayward burners.
A big mission for one guy you think?
Well I'm specially trained! I'm like a green beret of evangelical Christians.
My first order of business is I steal all the water from the camps so the only source in my one baptismal tub!
You will all be saved or dehydrated!

I expect my adventure will resemble this video quite a bit

I heard that there was a Christian camp back before 2005 or so.... And anyway... I see BM as the biggest Christian event that's out there... Most Christians can't do Christianity properly... something like how Elvis impersonators miss the essence of The King, and Trekkies don't look like that they could hold their water on the bridge of the USS Enterprise.

And the ten principles are a modern update of the golden rule, if you ask me: http://www.burningman.com/whatisburning ... iples.html

And who gives a greater sacrifice than 'the man' ?

It's a pilgrimage I tells ya !!!

yes yes yes...we know...this is old news.

there are now two, possibly three threads with the exact same header.

dig up some fresh dirt, you know like charlie sheen and John Galliano having nazi Alien Butt sex at stiffy lube while Ghaddafi watches.

actually, thats not that shocking.

go forth and find something TRULY exciting about BM, seek and ye shall find...

i'll give you a hint, it involves Howard Hughes, Oprah, and Seventh Day Adventists.

and puppies.

i swear to fucking god.
