And suddenly the recordings they posted don't play anymore...

And then back again.

19:19 hours
Last of Sunday's sun slipping over the hill onto the man.
2014 BRC webcam, 2014-08-24 19.19.jpg

And it looks like we could have some ground level cams too...
Unknown time.

Was live on the ground at 22:03, same scene, and moving. Seems to be on an art car.
And more setting up.
2014 BRC webcam, 2014-08-24 22.06jpg.jpg

And we have the sound of the webcam setup crew.

They were going to set up a webcam overlooking 447 South of Gerlach, curious if that is online. BMIR announces the travel times Wadsworth to greaters at the top of the hour (playa time).

Fuck.
Someone just used an aircan on the webcam mic. My ears are not happy.
Scene jumped and is panning. I believe we have multiple cameras on the ground.
Yup. They just switched again.

And the art cars are moving up in line. Must be DMV inspection line.

When I decided to skip this year I also decided I WASNT going to waste tons of time staring at the webcam.
So much for that idea!

From the look of the playa, they've had a little rain this morning...
People and vehicles moving again. Some umbrella's in use.
Scattered showers & thundershowers forecast. Hmmm.

Good shot of the man right now. What's with the "camp" around the man?

I think that must be the Souk, interactive community space

..and thanks for consolidated the stream here Canoe. I think the Professor has his hands too full to augment his eplaya CE thread at the moment. :D

It would be excellent to see this from the ground camera crew. Understand there may be a BMORG power grid water safety protocol and that the microwave links may not do so well in rain. Just hope critical communications from medical and safety are working as needed. Hint, the playacam is not life safety critical. Would not even imagine how med emergency evac works in this situation. #firstworldproblem in #temporaryautonymousthirdworldzone (TATWZ)

Neat to see the regular familar art cars out on the playa, or lining up for their DMV check.
And an RV in front of center camp that was lost.
Lots of porta-potty servicing truck were driving around. And driving nice and safe and slow.

whoa
trippy blown out cam
lots of people walking around & biking - with the shutter speed & blow outs, they look like ghosts floating through the air
when the smaller/faster lit up art cars go by, they look like they're floating feet above the playa

got lighter and lighter, then went to full white around 05:57

05:34 Friday
Sky just starting to lighten on the playacam.
Various art cars and people still scooting around.
I missed a closeup (very closeup) of the observation tower at Center Camp, showing it still in use.

from the recordings, sometime earlier there was more activity on the playa

06:23
Art cars, many bikes and some on foot going out for the morning burn of Embrace.
(just saw a parachutist land on the far left of the screen (6:29))

There was a great view of the playa back towards center camp. Shows just how large the BRC layout footprint is that we got a few years ago.
Also a great shot from the ground of Embrace.

Nooooooooooooo!
