Burning man Fest 2005 Classic rock Cover band now forming!!!

Postby Rockdrummer » Sun Nov 28, 2004 10:30 pm

I will be looking for any musicians interested in performing at the next BM fest. We will need to building a stage and have generators and a light system. Im asking that interested musicians be capable of playing about 50 songs and have the ability to bring thier own generator or extra cash to kick in. If interested post a reply including email address. Im located in San Diego and this will be my first BM Fest. I play classic rock but am open to other genres. Serious inquiries only please

Rockdrummer.

dude, I'll kick yer ass. I've got the classic rock concession at Burning Man already sewn up. We've been rocking the Classic Rock Stage since the day, son.

Mott The Hoople? Got it.
Stones? Start me up.
Nugent? Killed it.
Creedence? Proud (mary) to do it.
Bacharach? Er, no.

Yer gonna have to file a petition and go through the ORG like everyone else.

Just a bit of mis-direction, for my own amusement.

Rockdrummer, go here: www.stumprecords.com
we'll be there in 2005, and if there's anything we can help you with, lemme know.

An obvious joke.
I can see how the less than intelligent could miss it.

Rockdrummer,

What kinda rock are you gonna do? any Tool, Perceft circle or a sample king crimson?

I play bass. I'm still thinking if I should buy a bang around just for the playa.

DVD Burner,
thanks for em-biggening my word. Yes, I was joking about the petition part.
That Chicken John bastard has really started something here. A good thing, I think, to start thinking about how to spark up some of that ineffable (sp?) goodness I used to feel.

Anyway, Classic Rock Camp is an excellent idea!
Posters and stuff, big swap-meet bongs lying around, maybe a '78 Camaro Art Car.

Any live music is most welcome, in my book.

P.S.: DVD Burner, what's a "plonk"?

I almost missed this message.

A Plonker is a botton or function that allows a user, say a user on this board, the option to ignore whomever the user wants to ignore.

Basicly an ignore function. It's been asked for on this board since phpbbs ( the company that makes this board. look at the bottom of this page.)
was installed for eplaya.

mine is just a virtual plonker. It's my way of saying Plonk this.

Ahh, gotcha.
An "ignore all posts from this user" button.

Thanks for the info.

So, who should I ignore?

hell yes. as a matter of fact people often remark upon my voice as being similiar to my girl Chrissie - i am so all over that! Middle of the Road me, put some Brass in Pocket, put me Back on the Chain Gang, it's just the Night in my Veins. but Don't Get Me Wrong, i can sound like a lot of other people too. My Heart is in the right place, not to mention range (heh) so I can as promised Go Crazy on You in These Dreams, but don't think i'm not a Heartbreaker, cuz i kin rock that too.

I don't give a damn about my Bad Reputation so Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah) - I'm a Cherry Bomb! and I Love Rock n' Roll so Hit Me With Your Best Shot baby cuz i am ready to lite your ass on fire :) if Chuck E's in Love i guess i'll go there too cuz it's just no fun to go alone, and most of all it's Because the Night Belongs to Lovers especially in the hottest city in the world, our home town, hard Black ROCK City!

This sounds like a fun side-project for me and the boys.
We're usually playing throughout the BRC, but we always have one night where we go "uh, what now?"
This sounds perfect for that.

Where's that Rockdrummer dude?

Q. How many bass players does it take to change a light bulb?

A. None. The keyboardist can do it with his left hand.
