BM should not be a community

Postby Dj narc » Sat Jun 12, 2004 3:12 am

the world is in war everywhere
i belong to humanity and not to any communities
the man is burning in my soul every day
communities divised humanity
love is a unity
participation is about love
live is to burn
burn is to live
all you need is love
peace

Well, if you are in one of the northern states (or similar climate), some way to stay warm in the winter is also needed (or migration to somewhere warmer). Anyway, shelter can be mandatory, is what I guess I am trying to say.

Modern medicine is a pretty good thing to have, as well. (As well as the infrastructure to support medicine. Which would include an education system.)

Let's try to salvage this topic

Postby robbidobbs » Sun Jun 13, 2004 12:07 pm

Let's take a look at the word..."community".

What it means to me is that I am part of a vaste network of creative, intelligent, somewhat anarchistic people. Ooh, and well armed, at that. I contribute, and receive back from said community.

It also gets one's butt out of a jam, should the need arise...
A pat on the back, from people you respect...
Crazed ideas & inspiration that might not have been hatched alone...
Provides a place to bounce ideas off of w/o getting smacked...

and more to the point...

Gives those within it an endless source of amusement.

So if your "burningman community" is dead...
Try mine.
Sometimes I just tickle myself.

As Ed said on Northern Exposure (if that show was still on I'd probably own a TV):

We have six billion people on our planet? Lucky for me, I test at the 90th percentile for overall intelligence. This means that only ten percent of the planet are smarter than I am. With a total population of six billion people, this means that six hundred million people are smarter than I am.

I just can't deal with this! I just can't believe that I'm not number one! How can this be that six hundred milllion people are smarter than I am? I feel so worthless.

Thank God I have a magnificent penis; Or I'd go crazy with envy. I want to be admired. I want to be adored. I have a magnificent penis!

Is it detachable? If so, hope you are smart enough not to forget it.
