I'd think a lot of camps could be insured under "special events" coverage from your homeowners policy.
I know, when I'd rent a gym for volleyball tournaments, it'd be covered under that clause, for a day or a week, as long as those in the event are folks I invited.

the MV seems like it'd be tough, though.

well, based solely on 5 minutes of scanning the "2010 ticket" area, it's apparent there are a lot of under/unemployed massage therapists from California in the burner community.

I work for the state highway department: aka Nevada DOT.
Do everything from sittin in our crews office doing nothing til I get yelled at, to picking trash/debris, to repairing gaurdrail, fencing, signs etc that get hit to plowing snow. Doing traffic control at accidents (incidents, as they have be termed now) is always fun.
Main area I plow is I80 from Farad, sometimes Floriston in CA east to exit 32 in Nevada. Everything else is done only in Nevada.
Best part about the job is being temporarly re-assigned to work in Virginia City since it's a 15 minute drive as opposed to 45 minutes to Reno.
It never was my dream job but it pays the bills and keeps a roof over our heads and I get great time off so my wife and I can take a "road trip" of sorts during the summer . If it was'nt for that, I'd much rather be self employed or work in the private sector driving trucks. There is so much hypocrcy, bull shit, two faced attitudes, back stabing, "if you don't do something the way I do it you're doing it wrong" (even though the same results will be accomplished) type mentalities.
*I hate my job ,I hate my co-workers and I wish feral cats would eat them.*

I'm every parent’s worst nightmare, every child’s worst enemy, and a general nuisance to society.

For money I work as a body shop service advisor at a Mercedes dealership. Where I'm just a little bit too professional, a little bit too nice, and work a little bit too much.

I am currently a clothing designer & costumer, tea & shisha server, and occasional stripper and cam-girl.

Formerly a waitress, grocer, tree planter, Expert on all things Outdoor (I worked at the canadian version of R.E.I. for a couple years), and Carnie.

I am currently studying to become an EMT (paramedicine). Yay bleeding people! One day I will medic you at the burn!

I am an Engineering Tech at a small under 30 employee civil engineering company.

Basically, I design septic systems, stormwater management, design site layouts, land subdivisions, roads, utilities, and all the other "fun" stuff that goes along with getting things built.

Aside from that I am a DAD, photographer, bicycle rider, husband, Caribbean aficionado, artist, etc.

What do I do? "About what?"
It's pointless to walk when it's past time to run.

I don't want to say that medics are all alike, because there is variety.
But there's a definite trend in personality.

Long haul from a degree in classical painting.

from college on... Rough carpentry > Finish carpentry > cabinet shop > security guard > Fine dining server > Mural painter > Graphic designer > Flash Developer.

I now design those annoying pop-over ads for products you aren't interesed in that cover up the web page you are actually trying to read. You know those ones that you have to hunt for the tiny "close" button.

---sorry

The nice bit is that it pays enough over and beyond the bills to do things like buy my own CNC machine and start a side business in my garage.

...and well, go to Burning Man (my first time last year and me just shy of 40, sheesh what took me so long?)
