Well on the bright side, DangerBarbie (DangerBoobie?) if you're having this kind of trouble you must be quite a hottie! Not to excuse the behavior of the dickheads you've been running into, though...

My opinion on this is that if he was close enough to grab your mammiary glands, and his hands were busy in this manner, his crotch was in the perfect position for a (VERY WELL DESERVED) undefended kick!

But that's just my two eurocents.

There was a guy that needed a good ass kicking in my camp. He was being a drunk asshole, making rather inappropriate comments about my attractive female friends. We were all on some mighty euphoric pills that night, and I eventually just said, "Look, when people on this much ecstacy want to kick your ass, there's something seriously wrong with you!"

DangerBOOBIE!!! hahahah

That's great. I would have to say yes I am a hottie, but that still doesn't give that little punk bitch the right to grab me. I saw tons and tons of sexy little kittens I would have loved to caress, but I have more respect than that.

Oh and I was on E when this all happened and was still pisses. As well as my friends. It is pretty damn hard to be pissed on E.

Dangerbarbie:
Hey, just making an attempt to put some cheer into the whole deal...
If I'd been there I'd have been the first to beat the crap out of your new "friend". Too bad he even shows up on our playa. MOST burners are really cool people. Sorry if it sounds like I'm making fun of you.
But bite me if you're just being an oversensitive bitch with no humor.

how am I being an oversensitive bitch with no humor? Since BM I have been manhandled on 3 separate occasions. My camp (Mystic Beat Lounge) had it's own little Decompression party at which an uninvited guest proceeded to smack my ass so hard that I fell to the ground in pain. I didn't even see who he was. I don't think I am being oversensitive, just getting tired of this crap.

Yes I do realize that MOST burners are cool. I actually felt incredibly safe on the playa. I would say that I was ogled and touched 80% less than I am in real life. It is just sad to come back to a world where I have to constantly be my own bodygaurd.

Dangerbarbie, if you didn't see who he was, how then can you be certain it was a he? Isn't this the type of myopic steriotyping that we are trying to avoid?

Sexual Freedom + Drugs > Sexual Assaults??

Postby hope137140 » Wed Oct 29, 2003 11:05 am

do you guys think that b/c people feel like it's ok to screw around and get wasted it leads to more of this kind of behavior? all this is supposed to lead to greater love and neighborliness....but god, maybe people just can't handle the freedom. maybe human nature's not that great...or maybe there are just some people at BM that aren't respectful of the real spirit of it? Thoughts.

Actually, I think it means some people are just assholes. And unlike the differing viewpoints many people have of the "real spirit" of BM, the fact that some people are assholes is a universal truth.

Bingo! Let's face it: human beings are a fucked up mess -- and I mean that in the nicest, most compassionate way. Ultimately, we're all profoundly flawed, deeply disturbed, and crazy as fucking loons. What makes us so interesting to one another is that we're all fucked up in different ways. Witness Jerry Springer and his ilk.

Titty grabbers are fucked up in their own way, but they're not necessarily any more fucked up than you or I; it only seems that way because their particular combination of flaws leads them to act in ways that society rightfully does not tolerate.

The trick for all of us, methinks, is to learn to behave in ways which are acceptable to our fellow humans, regardless of what twisted shit is going on inside of our heads. And that acceptability standard isn't fixed, either. Today's most notorious titty grabber just got elected governor of California, while somewhere there's an 18-year-old in jail because he had hot consensual sex with his 17-year-old girlfriend.

I guess my point is that we "can see no reasons, 'cause there are no reasons." It's just the way it is.

My experience with sex parties is that there is a lot of education that has to be done. You pretty much have to sign a release concerning your behavoir to be let in the door, and even then monitors have to do a fair amount of reminding. And we're talking a much smaller attendance drawn from friends of friends rather than just anyone on the internet. How we could replicate that on the playa. . .

I think there is still a broad social consensus about groping being okay--at least under certain circumstances. That it happens on the playa too is disappointing, but not shocking.
