Received some sad news out of Austin. Calvin "Key" Wilson, a member of the Flipside community and a fellow Barbiebarian (worked with Texas Joe and Courtney Crash at the Barbie Day Spa) was killed over Thanksgiving. Seems his car had ran out of gas and he was along side the road in Georgia when he was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer. Though I personally did not know him very well, any loss of a campmate and a valued member of our extended community is a loss we all should feel.

Rest In Peace Key.

This is for Ryan, and Clint, and JD, and Brice. People I wish I could've known better, but whose loss changed my world in ways they could never know. I miss you all.

So tomorrow is Toshiko's 3rd anniversary.

I remember waking up halfway every morning at 5 am, she chanted before her Buddhist altar:
Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō
Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō
Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō

She was a good woman.
