Not so in my recent history.

Thank God for the Yankees.

Where will over the hill, over paid players find a team.

doing the impossible, coming from a 3 game deficit to beat their asses in 04, trumps anything and everything from today until the end of time.

28x

They are the Yankees and Redsoxs in that order. My Bosoxs the last time!

for such a highly paid team their record of recent is dismal. I would like to see more money spend on the yankees development not just buying players at the end of their careers. Thurman Munson, Jeter, etc.

Sometimes I think these older overhill players want to lose, so the other teams can get a chance.

Red Sox are second highest paid team I believe. What can ya do? Everything is awash in money. How to spread that cash around the leagues? I'd love to see that.

Yankees- going or blowing it!

or is stienbrenner looking to cash on more play off games to fill his pot of gold?

Kenny Rogers pitches the game of his life- was masterful and awful!

MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL IS BEST. After that, the Dodgers! Minor league is more what baseball is about.

there's little point in contemplating baseball anymore. After the apex of all sporting events for all history, past, present and future was achieved by the 2004 Red Sox nothing can or ever will come close to this spiritual achievement. All the rest is window dressing. That being said, the greatest team ever to grace the planet earth is now of course in first place in the AL east.

I would drive 1500 miles to see the Lincoln Saltdogs before I would 500 miles to see the Dodgers. Or the Dodgers and Red Sox in some meaningless interleague game

The best come from behind game was game one of the 1988 world series.(Dodgers vs As) Two outs, bottom of the ninth, As leading 4-3. Mike Davis walked. Tommy Lasorda sends in Kirk Gibson, who could hardly walk, to pinch hit. Davis stole second. The count went to two-two and the rest is history.

I just don't follow either of those teams. I try to keep up with Yankees LHP Darrel Rasner since he's a local dude but he comes and goes from their triple A team. A good friend of ours who lives in Dayton, Ohio is from Boston. The only time I sympathize for the Red Sox is if she comes to visit or we visit her. If we visit her we go see the Dayton Dragons. Class A Midwest League. Don't know the major league affiliation! Been nice rapping with you but I've been up since 03:30 and it's almost 10:00. I'm just not ready for BM hours yet. Catch ya later

The late great Dodger pitcher Don Drysdale wrote a book titled "Once a Dodger, always a Bum." I have a copy but never read it.
