Yes indeed. Coming back is tough enough as it is. :|

So I am really grabbing onto this road trip to visit Delle like it's the life-line it really is for me!

So sad I have to wait until November but, that will give me time to alert all my friends in NJ/NY/Boston that I will be passing through! I want to see EVERYBODY.

:D

Second day in a row where you've started my day off on the right foot.

Yesterday I was absolutely blown away to look down and realize it was shod in a very sparkly slipper. By today I'm actually starting to see how really jewel encrusted it is!

The other foot feels a bit left out, but is still keeping up... not wanting to miss out on any of the action.

I might give it a pedicure to day in recompense.

By the way, you were positively radiant at the M&G Savannah!

Apparently reading books about witches makes me believe I have magical powers.

I'm just going to run with it, as not doing so seems a sad alternative.

Mornin' campers.

I'll be leaving in just a few hours from now for surgery on my right rotator cuff (shoulder). My surgeon has recommended that I stay off my feet at home until at least the first week in October. I hope to be back at work on a limited basis by Thursday, September 26 but that remains to be seen. (Running 401(k) rollovers isn't exactly heavy lifting.) I'm told that the procedure is very painful and I'm going to learn how to do everything left handed for awhile. I have received many nice notes from my friends and acquaintances wishing me well. I appreciate every one. I won't be able to respond in kind for some time, but make no mistake about it: It means a lot to me having so many people concerned about my welfare. Thank you all very much. So if I don't respond to you directly (and I probably won't) it's not that I'm ingoring you; rather, I'm ignoring everybody. But I'll keep reading between the norco and the hallucinations!

Hi gang!
y'know, though, BVB.........I love your avatar! such a mix of science, adventure and silly. I gotta say it brightens my day, just seein you with your goggles watching your latest experiment.
I think, secretly, Savannah forgets what we all look like (if we don't use our pic as avatar), just to get to meet new friends each year!! Those awkward "first meetings" can be very titillating for some.......

Are you doing the road trip alone, MDF? I hope you have companions........and wish one was me.

HI Delle!! is your weather turning up there yet? I note my ankle feels great this year, and doesn't ache when we chat........so yay that. I gotta say, though, the anticipation of waking from a nap has changed.  :D

today may be "start putting the small stuff away" of my gear......

Hey Doc!!! so, everything left handed? "gettin some strange".....you rascal.
heal quickly, we'll all know you're sitting there chuckling at our jokes.
Enjoy modern chemistry!!

Thank Adobe Photoshop. Other photo editing programs can also do this sort of thing. It can probably be done better, but this is all I know about it.

I'm headed for Davis (90 miles) in a few hours, to deliver my camp-mates' big green polka-dottet Playa vehicle "Visualize Whirled Peas" and other luggage of theirs. Unpacking continues.

Good luck and quick and full recovery, Doc.

BVB, wish we had more time together. Kept having stuff happen when you were around. Next year will be different,

So much press about the Playa. Hope it doesn't go to its head. My sense is that the art was the best ever. Got a wonderful piece from AntiM's Wayward art camp! Loved your visit, Delle and Kenny. Msky & Mohairs MDF, that was special YG & Looneytunyand, top of the bus was really grand ..... what a view Nostalgia big time

I'll be volunteering at Mariposa Will Call at the SF Decomp from 2 - 5 so stop by if you are in the neighborhood Miss you all (((((((((((())))))))))))))

[quote="Martiansky"]Yeah scary, theres an alien peeking over your shoulder!![/quote.

Maybe so, but it would appear you have an alien heart.

Thanks to Elliot for the clean up of the Thanks to Martiansky reposting of the Thanks to Figjam removal of the No Thanks to Photobucket problematic original posting of the pics.

Whew. That was a mouthful!!!

I should really learn not to do potentially important things just before retiring for the night.

On other matters, before I head out to the pub to face the Entire Office for my birthday lunch:

Speedy recovery, Doc. I am enjoying the "strange" visual.

'Morning and hugs to Marty. We did have some fun, didn't we. Your road provided very well!

and Yiggy... oh Yiggy...

I hope you realize that I was totally goaded into your "awakening" that day by Loonytoons and Kenny who, atop roof, looking down, not only did NOT have my promised back, but were obviously quite enjoying my potential peril.

People just don't realize that 9.5 out of the 10 things I randomly do are probably suggested by my "poor, long-suffering" husband who for some ungodly reason just loves to see me get into predicaments.

Gadzooks, Doc, good luck with the surgery and thinking positive thoughts for a speedy recovery. Hopefully you'll be prescribed the right stuff to take the sharp edges off those corners, and ease you into a nice, soft landing as you recover.
