Yeah, Fishy, that guy's got a pretty good score, too.

    Desperate, journey, love, dream...
    Going home...
    Generosity of burners...
    Ticket fiasco...
    4 Prior burns...
Questions: DDo you get some points in the blamestorming category for noting that you're not "hot" or "special enough to automatically deserve a ticket"? (Does having participated in theme camps or having learned to spin fire give points for prior contribution?

As Fishy notes, he should get extra for offering more than face value and style points for "blessed" in last line, plus a bonus for doing both in the same breath. (But he did it "in the spirit of the event"!!)

And the one after it. So many points packed into two little lines.
Miracle (x2)
Dream
Prior visit last year
LOVE (all caps, style points for putting it in the last sentence. Wait -- it is the last sentence)
Purity bonus: First post
Purity bonus: There's another post now, also for begging
Purity bonus?: The second post is a copypaste of the first

Is there extra for calling BM a "special planet"? Maybe invocation of celestial bodies in any form is worthy.

Mormons get their own special planet, at least the men do.... I know I saw the temple out there one year, and missionaries, and Planet Kolob.

So, does that mean SotP is wrong about the Masons?

I am actually highly disappointed. These ridiculous first world problems are killing me. And its people like these who claim to have been spiritually enlightened at burning man
Do people even have an idea how moronic this sounds when one looks at the "big picture"?

I have to confess that running into these people on eplaya has really scared me. The obsession for this event is nothing like I ever expected when I signed up for the whole deal.
Every day, I think to myself that "I don't want to be these people"... I sadly sense that 2012 might be IT for me.

Not everyone who goes is like that. On this board you see subsets of the "community" and you see more extreams. And I bet the staple guy is perfectly nice 95% of the time. Tickets drive people crazy. At least for the past 13 months.
Anyway, go, have a good time, and make your judgements later when the dust has settled...

And really, no one who collects "vintage ephemera" (which is what this ticket will be in 20 years) expects that there's no wear. I guess there's those secret extra "stupid tax" gate tickets that they used to print up for wild prices like $750 or whatever, so that if someone in the line was being an ass about not having a ticket, they would be ready to sell it to him, I guess those might be pristine. But those might also have some sort of "voiding" that went on post-event, or maybe they were destroyed.
But a ticket actually used to attend? Or maybe it's trolling...

Anyway, I think I sprained my eyes by rolling them so hard and long.

Do we have a score sheet for tickets offered?

I realize that if I never had a ticket and had to float over dangerous waters, I would never succeed dancing to monkey tunes.
I bet drinking and sitting on my lazy ass all day wont cut to that "what have you done to contribute to the community?" questions.

Okay, someone speaking directly to god, promising that she'll turn women she meets into hot voluptuous goddesses.

Does that sound like a procuress to you?

I'm confused. She's asking God to give her a ticket to the playa, and she's promising to show Him (?) her gratitude by turning women into Goddesses.
So... is she saying she'll put the "fatal" in "potentially fatal" and send God some voluptuous new Brides?
Or are these Brides for the Mormons?

well if you combine that logic with re-incarnation, Hugh Hefner was obviously Rudolph Schnaubelt in his past life.
