As some of you know, I recently moved to South Carolina for a job and have been here for about 6 months.
What all of you don't know, is that as of now I do not own a car and during these past 6 months, I've been hitching rides to work and back with my roommates, coworkers, taking cabs, borrowing their cars and basically doing whatever I can to ensure I have a way to work and back. Have I missed a day of work because of this? NOPE!
So! Browsing craigslist, looking for a vehicle, I spot one that fits my criteria and needs. I contact the seller and we shoot the shit for little, tell him my situation and where I live. TURNS OUT THE DUDE LIVES IN MY BUILDING! And--get this, he was the guy who brought up my keys that I bone-headedly left on our mailbox the other night when I checked the mail. SMALL. FUCKIN. WORLD.
Test driving it tomorrow and by the end of this month, it will be in my name.
Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.
