Where the fuck does this go?

All things outside of Burning Man.

So it was the chocolate milk all along. Too many children got too much ovaltine, then they graduated to mochas and other espresso drinks and they ended up queer...

It's kind of cute the way they can keep themselves amused with such limited intelligence, exposure to ideas, and actual thoughts. Sort of like a cat licking its asshole...

Tuna head on a stick

Isn't this guy cool looking?

Australian scientists have discovered bizarre prehistoric sea life hundreds of kilometres below the Great Barrier Reef, in an unprecedented mission to document species under threat from ocean warming.

Ancient sharks, giant oil fish, swarms of crustaceans and a primitive shell-dwelling squid species called the Nautilus were among the astonishing life captured by remote controlled cameras at Osprey Reef.

Lead researcher Justin Marshall Thursday said his team had also found several unidentified fish species, including "prehistoric six-gilled sharks" using special low-light sensitive cameras which were custom designed to trawl the ocean floor, 1,400 metres (4,593 feet) below sea level.

"Some of the creatures that we've seen we were sort of expecting, some of them we weren't expecting, and some of them we haven't identified yet," said Marshall, from the University of Queensland.

"There was a shark that I really wasn't expecting, which was a false cat shark, which has a really odd dorsal fin."

The team used a tuna head on a stick to attract the creatures, which live beyond the reach of sunlight.

I think it means the harm will be so physical that it will only result in extreme bodily harm or death. Those are your choices. :)

First Camp Café Needs Chefs and Helpers

First Camp and The Nome are setting up a large structure for official Burning Man Organization meetings, cocktail receptions, and a big evening event. We will also host a 75-person dinner each night for members of the Burning Man LLC, senior staff, their guests and various artists and glitterati. All are fascinating people.
We need experienced chefs and cooks to direct evening meals and assist with lunches.
This is a fabulous opportunity to make a real contribution to the functioning of Burning Man, and meet some great people.
We may also need people to help with food prep, serving, bartending and housekeeping. Shifts are about 3-5 hours. If you are working with us, you can hang at our plush camp, join us for cocktail hour, use the showers, charge your batteries, and so on.
From 8/28 or to 9/5, we have a daily cocktail hour followed by dinner. On Tuesday 8/31, we host a 130-person dinner for Burning Man VIPs, and another cocktail reception on Friday 9/3.
The Nome Camp will set up a 4,000 sq. ft. structure in back of First Camp with bar, kitchen, dining facilities, lounge, electricity, plumbing, showers and so on. First Camp is located in the Center Camp area, directly facing the Great Circle. The Nome Camp consists of friendly long-time burners you will enjoy meeting. We are quite experienced at major Playa food events. In addition to having a great experience, you can hang at our camp, use the showers and so on.
Check out the photos of last year's similar event at the Fly Ranch. http://www.flickr.com/photos/21181254@N ... 0371/detai l/
