A good way to annoy the anti gun crowd. Probably get arrested if you took to a park.

It almost looks like a flare gun.

Tested a new tripod mounted AK with spade handles on the back.
Used rail spikes as a counterbalance.
So stable, it dug a nice trench.

It was cool and windy last night.

Driving across town, the whole city smelled like gunpowder.
It was everywhere in the wind.
Wonderful!

Sweet, but I'd keep it behind the seat. Don't want a 'smash and grab' loss, you know.

Back in Tennessee, I saw lots of back windows broken out for a thief's want of a firearm. With my pick-up truck, the gun rack would be used for an umbrella, and maybe a fishing rod or two. Good place for such things.

I'll try to.
That car has no 'behind the back seat' unfortunately, other than the window.
I would never leave a gun on a rack unless it was a locking version, Rhino.
I can tell you that a rifle will fit behind a ranger seat, at least on the larger 98 version.

My friend is quite gunshy about public photos, but he will let me post some of the tripod setup.
I haven't had a chance to take any, but I do have more details.

It was made in a hurry, so it's quite crude by his standards.
The rifle attaches at the normal stock and pistol grip points, effectively replacing three 922sr parts.
Takes little time to mount or unbolt.
For magazine clearance, the rifle is mostly past the pivot point.
The spade handle rig is all one set and drops into the swivel opening.
The only attachment needed is mounting the rifle at the rear stock mounts.
The rig is slightly offset to allow a crank drive.
The adapter is made of three boxes containing eight rail spikes, though lead could use less weight if located better.
There are 35 pieces of steel in the adapter.
The handles were made of a single piece of treadplate bent and cut, then welded.
The grips are hand shaped broomhandles.
The rifle will stand upright on the handles when off the tripod, an unexpected result.
He has mounted an extremely long range green laser.
The adapter lines up directly with the stock receiver lines and goes lower to mount to the grip point, and looks to be all of a piece.
Shoots very stable.

The gun used was a california legal ten round magazine model modified for real magazines.

Picked up a new Ruger LCP because I'm tired of trying to hide my "mini" Glock under a t-shirt and shorts.
