Well, I guess this current Horde technically counts as that, since we went in only planning on adopting two & walked out with three.

No, but that sounds very zen.
tpbm thinks that's an utterly shallow understanding of zen.

No thanks. I've never eaten nutella. but I just bought some off-the-wall candy for variety in my vending machines. Payday, $100,000 bar, whatchamacallits and sour patch kids.

TPBM wants to wander the mall and 'people watch'.

Only if I can somehow convince David Attenborough to wander with me and narrate.

TPBM agrees that David Attenborough is the best narrator on Planet Earth. And gets the half-joke.

I am usually skeptical about the entertainment machine built on debunking things we commonly hold to be true. I like to learn new things, but it bothers me to be told I am so wrong about things I've relied on for years. Like a headline saying: "Mother's milk is toxic and should never be given to babies."

tpbm thinks this might be where the phrase "what's next?" comes from.

Actually drinking water out of a bottle from which I'm told was filled from glacial ice. Personally I don't buy that.

TPBM has read a newspaper from the nineteenth century recently.

I'm actually in the process of rereading the last books my mom read to me as a child, though it would be hard to put my finger on what exactly it is that I miss.

TPBM still likes being read to.

Sure do, or at least having someone tell me the story they're reading about and what they're thinking.

Having someone (something) read to you is also a great way to proof-read your writing. Toss that stuff into a text-to-speech engine and listen to the words being spoken back to you. I can't take credit for that idea though.

No, I secretly want to write a book. But, it never happened, and it's not really burning a whole in my pocket, so I'm guessing that my desire to be a writer wasn't that strong.

Not really, female, but no name or face. I do remember the school, it was in VA, near Oceana, in an old courthouse. The year I went through the reading tests so fast the teacher told me I couldn't have read the passages and had just guessed the answers. Oh, and that's why I didn't get a single answer wrong? I do recall that haughty demeanor as she graded my test with the intent of shaming me, and her silence when she sent me back to my seat to wait for the other kids to finish.

tpbm wonders where all these questions come from. (But suspects it might just be the concerns and worries of teh asker, filtered into something vaguely appropriate.)

Some of the questions also follow a common theme sometimes.
