I'd start a thread about it in the ticket sub-fora, but I'm not crazy. In a week or so.

I have been looking on the bm Facebook page tons of people are getting to gate with bad tickets. A lot of people are in gerlach hoping to get a ticket. It seems like a clusterfuck. I know of 2 people from here that got scammed.
I think the org needs to step up and figure out a solution to this.

Oh ya, went to get custom plates for my new SUV, some asshole has burner. Not happy. So guess burners will have to to do OR UofBRC

Any other ideas?

Yeah, if I'm still on this board next August, I hope I remember to beat that drum.

It is absolutely amazing how many ticket buyers did not practice anything even remotely like due diligence.
It was laid out for them too.

They wanted to go so badly that they put caution aside. I have seen so many people this year not use good judgement
. Hell take a 13 year vet, bought fake tickets or his gf bought them and he didn't help her see the warning signs(don't know the story) but he got fake tickets/scammed.
Funny thing is he owes me a lot of money, along with owing another burner $400 from buying him a ticket for 2012's burn. Guess he has a good sugar momma that can buy tickets twice in a week sense he hasn't had a real job sense the first part of the year  funny how shit works I guess.

If anyone sees Crypto in here, tell her thanks for last night - or sorry about last night - whichever seems appropriate.

Pulls me one way, then pulls me the other.
I wish they had the outside mic on, to provide the ambient noise of the playa, even if it's overwhelmed by the wind by times...

There are 52 users visiting eplaya right now. Seven registered, five of whom are bots.
And I thought the 68 I saw the other day was low.

I am with you guys, I really miss the regulars. I know I never step out of my little dark corner of the bar and say much, but I am on here almost every day, at least since 2010. Before that I visited the board sporadically. It’s kind of been nice seeing some of the regulars on here this year.

Well sit right down and have a beer! I decided early this year I'd skip this one and go on a different vacation (which I'm gonna, the week after BM) and I didn't intend on staying in 'Camp Envy" but it's pretty hard to ignore it just 'cuz I didn't go out there!

Yep, it's good to see all of your familiar faces too, wherever they pop up, especially with so many frantic ticket zombies roaming about.

I saw Bin stop in the other day too, always a day brightener. ..and moon.. and, heck I can't keep up with everyone either, haha.

Well, time to go perch up on the tower for awhile.

Apparently Embrace burns this morning (Friday) around 7:00 am playatime. That's the word I heard over in Camp Envy anyway.

That was just fabulous! They did a stellar job at capturing it, and Professor Pickle ensures the videos will be available in their entirety.

I missed the very end, as I had to go pay my municipal taxes before the office closed for lunch. Did they eventually have to knock down the internal structure so it'd burn away, or did it fall on its own?

I stopped watching when they pulled the camera back. The core of both heads was still standing, smoking away.
No idea if they're still up, as there's a wind on the playa picking some dust up so that part of the playa is obscured. You can see the Man, but not the Temple.

I'm seeing a lot of segways-types today.

It was an interesting burn, I left after the skin burned off but understand the framework came down not too long after.

The dust is pretty insane today, for the first time I'm unable to see the 105 foot tall man from the top of the ziggurat at my camp (on C). Fortunately my shade's pretty solid, but I've seen a couple neighbors' domes and other structures starting to give things up.

Told my boss today if they don't let me off in time for the burn sat night they are going to have one very pissed of server!
It's been fun this week, three of our kitchen staff are all burners (never to ttoitd though) so I come in and there like did you hear this, did you hear that. It's fun to share with them as I'm pretty sure john is sick of me shoving my iPad in his face every few min saying look at this. Lol

Saw photos of skrillex playing OT. Wish I had been there for that. Still wondering who is playing root after the burn. Someone fill me in to who they fly in guests are.
