nah - build a set of stanadard gage rails all around the perimiter of the city, and set up a couple engines with flatbeds circumnavigating the city at about 2-3 mph. people could jump on and off to get around during the week.

on burn night, you reset the limiters, fill em up with pyro, and start em going full throttle in opposite directions from 6:00.

sweet revenge for all those "a train leaves chicago at 6:00" math problems...

just a spectator!

And you know what a vast majority of BM participants think of "spectators".

If your still going I apologize for the misconception. But if it's true than I feel it's a valid question to ask, especially considering your post count and the controversy your posts generate.

Just so you know, Anyone that knows me from that time period knows I'm not a spectator  quite the contrary. Has that answered the question?
 Speaking of trains.

If you expect > 50% of BRC population to survive until the burn, you would have to put full rigid skirting on all sides to within 2 inches of playa-level, and install an industrial raver-catcher (i.e. broken-down sofa) on the front.

Additionally, I would suggest another flatcar in the middle of each train featuring a repeating super-soaker that shoots anti-patchouli from a sandbagged emplacement. This would not only protect the trains and their occupants from the hordes of tie-died scum demanding smelly hugs, but it would also have the ancillary benefit of a damn good light show as the anti-patchouli destroys them in a flash of pure energy.

Or not.

i came up with this idea back when the good ole days (tm) were not a forgotten memory.

(question - does this thread drift count as noise, or signal?)

If you view it in terms of utility, i.e. discussion of the signal to noise ratio problem the eplaya has it is certainly noise.

Hopefully it was mildly entertaining noise.

Isn't that the point? Figure 50% of the people are either Ravers or Patchouli ridden hippies. Omit the skirting and let Darwin sort them out.

Can you imagine what the eplaya would be like if I responded to all your
posts in kind, but without the smilies?

Ugly, eh?

Well, I think it might just need to happen.

You should.

Then the eplaya might just smile from the smilies.

I didn't mean to be off the boards this long, but I had knee surgery and it took more wind out of my sails than expected.

How painfully ironic that this thread has devolved into all noise - no signal.

Given that this is the eplaya feedback area, I am going to request that you stay on topic. My knee is already paining me and this discussion has me reaching for another Vicodin.

I've got one good leg still and will delete your posts and/or boot yer asses out if I can't keep this a civil forum.

Ugh. Now I'm all grumpy. Shame on you, saddening the invalid.
