Hunter S. Thompson outside the port-a-johns

Hunter S. Thompson outside the port-a-johns

Such a brief encounter- not a name, a camp, anything! Mea culpa.

You were very kind to me and told me I had a "beautiful soul" for telling you where Bat Country is (so many superlative compliments at Burning Man!) You asked if I cut my arms after noticing my scars, and said that I didn't need to do that; you liked me as I am. I had a snippy reply of "Actually I do, and that is the problem." as I entered the port-a-john, and when I exited you had left.

I am sorry I was so short with you; this birgin burner gets easily overwhelmed with the amount of frankness and forthrightness that exists on-playa. Would love to buy you a drink sometime or just chat. In any case, thank you for your kindness; it is not forgotten.

I think so! (Oh memory...) Was he a younger individual? (I noticed other Hunter S. Thompson's later in the week, but they were older.)

Oh also, do you have a way to contact him? Would love to thank him.
