(I learned this from a video about desert survival after a plane crash - which was actually a management training exercise rather than intended to teach actual survival). I actually think you'll do fine.

I'm not so worried about the infection as I am about the wound drying out & cracking (playa foot from hell?). I get cracked & dried cuticles on my hands from the dust, I can only imagine that on a raw toe...

Tue, 15 Jul 2014 , and the accident was on Monday 14 July. I think by the end of August you'll be pretty used to how it feels, and the strategies you use when you have to wear footwear, and how it is feeling better. I would go for sure!

need to have the acceptance letter. applications close on the 31st--if I remember from previous years and they haven't changed it.

In 2003 I dropped a set of three railer tire chains, for semi duals, on my left foot while wearing "tennis shoes". My big toe has never been the same. Every few years it falls off.

Fuuuuuuuck. Why did I say this? So some animal got in our house last night, my wife screamed, I jumped out of bed and twisted my ankle. Badly. Doctor's appointment today. If only I could create self-fulfilling prophecies in other areas of my life.

A twisted ankle? You'll make it. Back in February I twisted my left ankle at work. I heard two cracks and went down. Was on light duty for two weeks.
