If my calculations are correct, the man now burns in 358 days! So much planning to do!

Why? This year should have proved to everyone that if you want a ticket, you'll be able to get one.

You could have gone with Introductions or with the Tips and Tricks, Q & A sub-fora. A mod will probably move it.

We'll do our best. Coming from overseas is a logistic challenge. Perhaps we need to centralize that information so that we have a specific thread to steer you to.

Mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut, aber Sie haben zwei erfahlen gemacht. "Dessert" ist so wie Torte oder Kuchen, nicht Wüste.
Und e-playans sagen nicht "wind", wir sagen "wino".
Und Seinen Englisch ist besser als mein Deutsch.

Moving this topic over to Preparation...

Rikeandkay, information regarding ticket sales for the 2013 event have not yet been announced. When that happens, information will be posted on this board, in the Jack Rabbit Speaks newsletter, and on the main site.

Note to self: if using "erfahlen" as a noun, it's "Erfahlen" (unless it isn't even a noun in which case you made two mistakes in one), you Bauhaus (no, not that one, the one from the Weimar Republic, downhill from Doc) loving fish...

Okay, that's way past my German. Here's my try in English: After opening our minds by looking at burningman on the web, I cannot begin to say how amazing it is. The popular cake--is that the program that you are using to help translate? Or a return joke on the idea of "dessert"? I tend to use babelfish and bing and google translator with a look over to see if it makes sense to my limited understanding of the German language.

Dear ....fish,

Thanks to you. I like this small misunderstanding between the different people's. special if they use the world languages English.

Anyhow, sandcake is a return joke. Lovely also, what different understanding of jokes between the cultures.
We like to meet you all next year.

Good night
R and K

By the way, never use these translation programs. A lot of funny words coming out there and leads to some misunderstandings maybe.
