Postby alexamonkey » Fri May 18, 2012 5:54 pm

Hey- yes, I know they don't last in high winds. Used them forever. Anyone know which is preferable- metal or wood market umbrellas?

I'm so broke I can't even pay attention.

And I didn't notice a single market umbrella at the burn last year.

PS - WTF is up with all the cross posting.

In this particular case, it's a bit of fishy snark. (Would that be a shark?)
In the other cases, maybe a technical snafu?

I think the OP posted it twice and then Fishy quoted it here, making three.

LOL - a Pabst induced lack of noticing who started the third thread about this. Touche!

*Nods sagely.*

I'd never heard the term "market umbrella" before -- only "patio umbrella." I had to Google it.
So, apparently, not too common in my lexicon.

gyre: I had to Google it. They're the same thing as patio umbrellas, I think.

jkisha: It was only actually posted twice. Possibly there was a hiccup, or the poster thought the upload hadn't worked and re-hit "enter." I can empathize -- never done it here (that I can remember...), but probably have elsewhere.

The third apparent posting is actually a remix. A cryptic remix. Smells fishy

Merged the two remaining threads. I think one is plenty.

Ah, I see I'm not the only mod moving stuff around... hehehe.

Double posts happen, especially if you're using a mobile device. Second post deleted, and this one put where it belongs. Eric put the third in here, nice and cozy.

As for those big umbrellas... I wouldn't bother, the sun slants in so much you'd not get much effective shade during most of the day. Unless you're going for a certain look rather than practicality.
