If I raise a strip of hot, crispy, freshly cooked bacon to my face-hole and a sudden gust of wind comes along and snaps it out of my fingers, I'm gonna cry.

The wino can be hungry that way. Watch out.
When he lights his streetlamp, it is as if he brought one more star to life, or one flower.
When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep.
That is a beautiful occupation.

I will be sure to use extra rebar on my bacon this year. No wino is getting my BACON.

Yeah, Ricola, just keep them in a cool place in a baggie so they don't melt on your camera gear. Some people like Fisherman's Friends, but they're absolutely foul.

FF that image has me really conflicted.

I don't know whether to freak out or congratulate you for posting the most tasteless image I have ever seen on the internet.

So gratz on the image, but seriously shit like that is just wrong on so many levels.

If we get enough rain, can I use the 4x4 and some rope to skimboard the lighter cars? Maybe we can flatten out those dusty-duney-serpent thingies.

report from the intrepid setup crew:

Day 3: ....We are making do with fair progress and fine fellowship, but work proceeds in fitful bursts which keep us just behind schedule. The weather is terrible..Morale, in spite of setbacks and (did I mention this?) the horrible weather, remains high. ...We have no wood in the ground yet, but God willing and weather permitting, it shall be tomorrow..... If you haven't taken time to invest in good goggles and some premium dust masks, this would be the time.

if THIS person is saying to buy premium goggles and dust masks... its gotta be pretty durn dusty..

*puts new goggles on his list as his current ones are pretty fuckin old*

What's weird is the reports of white-outs and extreme wind conditions, compared with blackrockdesert.org's weather forecast:

"Overnight: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. West wind around 5 mph.
Thursday: Areas of smoke after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 99. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Thursday Night: Areas of smoke before 9pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 65. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming northwest in the evening.
Friday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 99. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Friday Night: Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. "

If there's good news, it's that it doesn't appear to have gotten colder than about 65 degrees there all week, according to the NWS. That means warm nights!

Most tasteless image you have ever seen on the internet? You live under a Net Nanny rock or something?

I could take it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the path of tasteless and cruel and make Fox's image look rather tame.

While the temptation to ask you to do so is rather strong, I don't want to risk the wrath of the Internet moral police.
Of course I am from Barbie Death Camp where our nazi ken dolls march the barbies into the ovens - so I'm not sure I'm an arbiter of good taste.

But, back to the weather. I am so fucking doomed if it is humid. Dammit.
