and the impact on Ride Share.
"Oops, I think your bike fell out from that bump/jackrabbit on 447" just won't cut it any more

I'll be holding my breath.

Still too weak for my taste.
I remember when flying was fairly pleasant.
Now I actively avoid it, and not just for the burn.

Yes, but that was when it was expensive and you didn't have to deal with the peasants. It still is pleasant if you fly first class. (Not to sound elitist or anything. :))

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me.

No, I'm talking about that long period between nirvana and steerage that we have now.
You could usually get good deals on used tickets, now finally impossible thanks to airlines lobbying, and specials if you waited for them.

Even an editor wrote about this and he was flying first class.
Years ago he said if it was less than a thousand miles, he would rather drive.
First class can't solve all the schedule and other problems airports have.
Only a gulfstream can.

News here, our airport has chased away another discount airline with high fees.
Probably means southwest won't come here either.
They fly right past us now.
