Are there any other "Burners" on the So. Cal. Moja

Postby Honey » Tue Mar 30, 2004 9:14 am

I,ve been to two burns 01 & 03 and I have never came across another
Burner in this area. I have a large D.P.W emblem on my work truck that
gets hellos around L.A, but I would like to find a few of the tribe up here
in the desert. Is there anyone out there?

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ocburners/

Orange County burners. There are members of this group that have contacts all over the place and can get you in contact with other So. Cal burners.

Plus we have really cool beach burns and other events. There is a trip to buy faux fur for coats this weekend in the LA garment district. Then there is a workshop to sew the fabric into coats. There is a cart race scheduled for I think the 3rd of April. Winning carts to be sacfificed on the Playa. There was a ElWire soldering class.

If you join the yahoo group, check it daily as if you check it weekly you will have no idea what is happening now. This is a very active group.

As this is in context with this thread I will post it. Straight cut and paste off the OC Burner page.

Please ignore if redundant…

Here are two lists you may want to subscribe to:

Jack Rabbit Speaks
The official Burning Man newsletter, put together by Andie Grace /
ActionGrl although Maid Marian has also done it sometimes.
SUBSCRIBE: bman-announce-subscribe@b... ("your initial
request will require a confirmation response in order to protect you
from unwanted mail") Old rabbits can be found at:
www.burningman.com/blackrockcity_yearround/jrs/

LA Burning Man List
Put together by Twan, the Regional Representative. This is
compilation of related events and things of interest to Burners in
the So Cal area, it is not a discussion list and is sent our weekly.

Very, very important you read this:

watch out, there's going to be a test ;)

Just so you know, I did get quized by the person who posted this the first time I went to an OC beach burn.

You should PM Sharper (You can find her on the memberlist on the eplaya) She lives in the Coachella Valley and organizes events up there.

Wow, there is another. I live in Pinon Hills, near Phelan, haven't found any other burners in the area. If you are out here someplace let me know
