Looking to meet up with Burners from the NYC

Postby aalian » Fri Feb 20, 2004 8:57 am

I'm looking to go to the Burning Man in 2004. This will be my first time and I'm really interested in seeing what it's all about. I live in queens and was wondering if some people who were planning on going might want to hook up and all go together. I'm a pretty sane person who needs to burn some life's stresses away. My Email is: aalian@iris.nyit.edu

I should also mention I won't be able to leave until August 27th.

I camped with these fine NewYorkers last year. For some reason their site www.asylumvillage.com is down right now but try later.

New York, New York!

Hey. Another New Yorker here. Never been to BM, but as soon I went to the site, I was hooked. I'm looking to meet up with some burners--the more the merrier.

Is anyone going to the "Confessions of a Burning Man" screening this weekend?

Hey guys- As your friendly neighborhood eplaya admin, I wanted to remind you that these boards are open to the public, which means that anyone can see the contact information you post here.

That also means that site is open to spammers who will use a spidering program to collect exposed email address to add to their spam lists.

May I suggest that the emails be removed, and in their place a a request to have folks PM you to get you email address?

The edit post function is currently down for users, but I could tweak it on my side. Please PM me if you would like me to take this anti-spam measure for you.

Hey all. 22-yr-old virgin burner here, living up in Morningside Heights/SoHa, looking for fellow NYC folks to hang out with, talk with, make merry with, and generally create master plans with -- especially people who've been before and can give me a better idea of what the burn will actually be like... i'll exchange emails if people wanna get together for drinks or something some night soon. :)

I saw Confessions a week ago and bought my ticket right afterward. my dad and I are going to do the burn together and i'm trying to figure out if we should join another camp or just plant ourselves somewhere and do it solo?...
