Did you take the other tire off and go to a junkyard too try and find a match?

A prickly pickle.

Aren't those protected in certain areas? The cacti, not pickles or pricks.

Its not just saguaros. All native az. plants are required to have a permit from the az. dept. of ag. to transport.

I was surprised to see this thread when I checked in this year and thought I should report back on the ol' Jungo, since I was the one who started it. We hit it late afternoon and it was pretty smooth sailing for the most part. I have heavy duty off road tires but it seemed pretty tame. Came into view of Playa at dusk, a beautiful and surreal sight, and it was dark by the time we hit blacktop again. Took Jungo home leaving right after temple burn and escorted some new friends in a van with less than gnarly tires and all went well except I was getting hypnotized from night terrain and lights, exacerbated by sleep depravation. I thought I was driving on snow. We beat the crowds but should have stopped and slept in Winamucca but eventually pulled over and crashed for a while. Tough drive home though as I couldn't get enough naps. Thinking about changing up this year and taking 70 and 50 etc. but there is something special, almost spiritual, about the Jungo and I think I'd miss it. So, Jungo it is!
