Helium for balloons :)

Postby InGearX » Sat Mar 24, 2012 11:15 am

Good day burners :)

We are interested in blowing up some balloons at Burning Man

We need to rent some helium tanks in Reno or so...

If you are looking to also get some helium... only makes sense for us to work together

please email me at "wpb317" located at gm@il

thank you...

We're in need too but I'm not sure if there's any advantage to going in together? It's pretty much a standard rate for tank rental and fill.

..unless you know something else?

Not to rain on your desert parade but remember that helium balloons are full-blown wind-blown MOOP if they get away - completely impossible to remove until they finally leak out many miles away from BRC. I would advise against helium balloons unless you can be certain that they won't get away.

Yeah, just make sure they're tethered to something and you're nowhere near the trash fence so debris can fall to ground and get cleaned up within the perimeter… easy peasy.

If you really need a lot you could contract a truckload...I got a quote once for a truckload of Hydrogen, and it was upwards of $10k delivered to the Playa IIRC. I'm sure the same guys would do Helium for a price...

That's a lot of gas though. Renting what you need and transporting it yourself probably makes the most sense.
