I'm pretty sure DP will be there, playing their new Hale-Bopp theme, which i'll enjoy as i'm brushing my teeth waiting for reprogramming and that pizza to come out the oven, unless the chloroform "metallic projectile shooty persuader thing" gets me 1st, which i'm certain is:

Are you putting together the Heaven's Gate Away Team Theme Camp this year, then? I'll bring the ziploc baggies and the pudding/applesauce...

You know, during that whole Hale Bop thing, I went out on my porch to have a cigarette, looked up and saw "something" skirt around from the tail to behind the moon. For a fleeting moment I thought maybe FINALLY someone had got one right, and I lifted my glass to them.

I've looked it up since, and wasn't the only one to see it.... tho I've never seen an explanation for it.

Sure made my day tho.

IIRC, most comets don't move across the sky fast enough, to actually see the movement. Or, very, very slowly, from our perspective.

Yeah.... They're pretty boring really.

Just pretty much sit there looking different from all their surroundings, but not doing anything of note....

until they fart a projectile out their ass end that disappears behind the moon. Just like they'd predicted.

If you believe the Alien Astronaut theorists and UFO enthusiasts, there is a colony of Aliens on the dark side of the moon *allegedly* and Black Ops "knows" about it and they "do" have spacecraft; also *allegedly*....Aliens still come visit us from Niburu (the "Red" or "Blue" planet, depending upon who's prostelizing (sp.?) about it) from whence we came (we're alien-monkey DNA hybrids). I, for one, in my late 20's, went to an outdoor Music Festival at the Gorge in George, Washington (State) where I am from originally. I was enjoying the evening with a hillside of friends, and lo and behold, from behind the stage, came a very bright, huge, and round orange orb that hovered well above the stage for an extended period of time, and as the night went on, slowly rose higher and higher, until we (all of us on the hill watching) saw it speed up very quickly and "disappear" in a very bright "flash" of light high in the sky. My friends and I were sitting next to a man in his late 40's-early 50's who had taken his daughter and her friends to the Festival, and he and I talked for hours about what we had just saw, but sadly, none of us had a video cam and I had only snapped a photo with black and white film in the dark...but yes, I saw it, and I do to this Day have photographic evidence. It's not the "first" UFO I've seen by any means, and yes, I Believe. I've seen other ships in the sky "zip" across the night and day skies like that, so no surprise there. : )

And you thought that amaretto flavored instant creamer used Almonds?

(Damn, I miss my old Comet - '73 in gold, not even a GT but 'twern't a bad car for a kid... thanks for posting that!)

Speaking of... Little known facts... (grazie per Wiki)

The Comet was originally planned as an Edsel model. It was reassigned to Mercury dealerships after the demise of the Edsel brand

and...

Ford had purchased the name "Comet" from Comet Coach Company, a professional car manufacturer in which the term belonged to a line of funeral coaches...

(And it all makes sense now...)

Yep, I'll be looking for the two douchebags dressed like Nick Lachey: Dark "Seven" Jeans, button-down oxfords with skulls/crosses (or a combination of both), sunglasses at night, overly-groomed hair...
