Anyone have some art I can use for pullups?

Postby themightyaghabheegy » Thu Jul 12, 2012 10:36 pm

I hope this is a good place for this post... I'm going to be putting together some Crossfit workouts on Mon, Wed and Fri... I am not bringing any equipment, so all workouts will be body weight only, and a pull-up bar would be awesome...

I'm not sure how many people will show up for the WODs, so obviously, if there are a lot of people, it will not work... but if anyone will be putting together a sturdy structure that can sustain several people doing pull-ups, it would totally make my day :)

Any ideas?

Just wrap several feather boas around one of these, and you'll soon get a workout you won't soon forget:

I'm sure Comfort & Joy camp can accommodate your needs.

They brought a full gym out for years.

Show some fucking Crossfit® gumption! Build it and bring it yourself! You don't want people to think that Crossfit® people are not radically self-reliant.

i just don't have the resources to bring it myself... i drive a yaris, and it's going to be chock full of things i will need to survive...

but that's what's so great about this event... the community is willing to help :)

Yeah, I went through a Crossfit phase, I must admit.

Hey, check out truck rentals in your area. You might be able to buy a cheap truck and sell it at a profit when you get back.

Jeez, here I'm doing your thinkin for you, bro. :(

I led P90X workouts last year, and about 15-25 people would show up for those, with the numbers decreasing over time. I'll be hosting the same T, W, Th this year. The only good place I found for pullups was those metal geodesic domes. Maybe if you're lucky, you might have one near your camp you can use. We were also able to use 750 ml liquor bottles and 2.5 gallon water jugs for some weight exercises, at least until we drank that away. Good luck with your event. =)

Buy/rent a tier of 6'8" scaffold, pin the legs on wood pads, secure it w/ guy lines, tie a length of 1-1/2" steel pipe to it the long way.
