Mr. Pimm here. I'm going to be a third timer Burner come August, and am ecstatic that this year, I'm going to actually bring art to the playa. I, along with my Shibumi theme camp denizens, are planning to erect (heh) a 23 foot tall, volume-reactive, iridescent, origami crane, art installation/shade structure. We submitted for an art grant, but didn't make the cut (sounds like it was a crazy year for art applications!) In any case, we're still pushing forward, daring to create the thing in spite of hindrances. That doesn't mean that we could do without support though, and would be incredibly appreciative of any help you fellow Burners see fit to give. Could take the form of donating to our kickstarter in the next 30 days (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gru ... rane-space
), could take the form of words of encouragement, could take the form of sageful words of wisdom from people who have created such things before and learned the do's and don't's. Point is, if your interested in (one more time) a 23 foot tall, volume-reactive, iridescent, origami crane, art installation/shade structure, check out more about the project at the following links, and, if so inspired, pass on some support in whatever form you'd like. Looking forward to see you all back home.
