Every year someone loses their tent and has to survive until the end to find it.

I helped someone look once.
We narrowed the area down.
Never found it.


Tent= passport, ticket, wallet, etc

Worth noting, I caught the flu out there last year, and doubtless many others did too.
Swine flu, I think.
That may be why so many passed out or got sick for no apparent reason.
I was dragging all week.
I thought it was exhaustion.


Indeed, the flu was going around. A friend of mine rolled in, put up his camp, and left about 24 hours later with all the symptoms of flu. Very sick. Experienced burner, too, it wasn't altitude or partying too hard. I'm amazed he got home in one piece.

Cherry Vodka + Red Bull = Cherry bombs
One normal can of Red Bull + 1/2 a liter of water = flavored water (tastes close to sucking on a sweet tart and then drinking water.)

My breakfast might be a tin of kippers, a cup of coffee and a strip of bacon if there's some handy. No pancakes, waffles, bread, etc. Your body will crave the carbs later when it gets cold. That is the time to eat the pasta, bread, corned beef hash, etc.

Get a good night's sleep. Really.


I really like all of what you said here. Tell me, do you eat the kippers straight up or with crackers? :)

A drink known as switchel, oxymel or sekanjabin has been enjoyed through antiquity.

It was the first sports drink, consisting of an acidifying agent (vinegar), a sweetener (molasses or honey), water, sometimes a little salt and one of a variety of flavors, including ginger or garlic.
