It was such a burny feeling with the overstimulation and ADD...I feel like it could of gone on all weekend and then maybe I would experience every nook and met everyone! Absolutely the most incredible event I have seen put on here in my 30 years living in this town!!!

This is....the Neon House....We're Neon here in our Neon house

I love the smell of propane and charbroiled snake in the evening.

It was real cool to meet you too Red! Great event in a great place, with great burner fellowship!
I'm just mortified that I left before things got really crazy. :(

Wow, the Nevada City Burnal Equinox was awesome! I met and talked with so many playa friends and ePlayans I had not met before! I enjoyed it more than the SF events I have done, probably because it was in my backyard. :) The Miner's Foundry is a great place. Lots of fire art, GREAT MUSIC. Dang let's do it again!

Zeke, thank you!

I think so, I tried to meet everybody but I had a bouncy blond newbie Sparkle wanna-be to keep tabs on. Our band said NO, she can't camp with us. We'll see about that!

Great pics! The SF event wasn't too bad, though I wish they had used a bigger space. Art and camp stuff crammed into every nook and cranny, including the hallways leading out the door. The bigger of the rooms was for live bands and performances, and a smaller room upstairs with electronic music, and a lot of fun stuff set up in yet another room as well as on the balcony overlooking the big stage. I didn't run into any ePlayans, but did connect with a few old friends + meet some new ones, and get to have a great drinks meetup with campmates beforehand.

@Drawingablank - there was something of a humdinger burner event this weekend in NYC, Disorient's big 'glamtech' party. I'm not familiar with the space or what their plans were, but the pics I've seen popping up are pretty amazing. Even if you don't camp with them, you may want to check their group on FB (they also have their own site and message board, I believe).

Wow, I missed that . IIRC they usually announce on the NY list, but I don't recall seeing it. I will check them out on FB.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

I really enjoyed the Nevada City location, the Miners Foundry. Massive crude rock walls, megalithic fireplace, random pieces of ancient machinery strewn about.
And a pipe organ! Does anyone know if it still works? Maybe a little musical viagra?
It was a cool place before the burners showed up - and then it blew doors. Glad I went.

Word is, it works but needs a lot of TLC. I tried to get them to let me do a Phantom of the Paradise thing on it for a Halloween show. They were not to keen on the idea.

I asked about that beautiful organ (insert ygmir joke here) as well, and was told that it is played several times a year there for some of their fundraising events.
I love the history of the Foundry, with the displayed molds on the wall and examples of the items they used to produce there.

I do think the event has just about outgrown the site, though.

it was abandon for years......we snuck in and played as kids.
My dad even worked there for a time. Very very cool building.

*snickering, I don't even have to make the joke, and someone thinks of one*
