Orphan Burner Events 2011

For whatever reason, you may not or will not be making it to the Playa this year.

Didn't get a ticket in time before the historical sell-out, couldn't afford it, couldn't get the time off, just aren't feeling it for 2011 - whatever your reason.

Let's create a space where people can make connections and talk about/plan their 2011 orphan events, and is easily accessible to the unprecedented numbers who want to get in to BRC this year but can't.

I advise meeting in SF on Burn Night at Ocean Beach (which has fire rings).
Nearby Baker Beach is where It All started, and I think nudity is still allowed, in addition to weenie roasts over the charcoal grills.
How many people would be interested in pulling this together?

Its time to roll up your sleaves and get to work Burners.
My Name is Robert and sadly Im not going to the burn this year,
So in true Burning Man nature I decided to build my own man and Burn
him in Cal City Desert> CCBM
It will be during the labor day weekend and the man will burn the same day
they burn it at Black Rock. If anyone would like to join and make
this event feel like burning man just for a second, do so!
The plans for the man are DONE! I just need some real burners to
help make it amazing. Please email me and send me
your name, playa name, contact number, and what you can do to help.
Don't worry you can just come, helping is not required.
Thank you and Hope we can come together to Spread the burning man spirit
Remember, This will be a 3 day event, so bring your burning man attire,
l-wire and bikes coverd in your favorite get up, and what ever else you normally
would take to burning man. This is in the desert and will be just as hot as Black Rock
so dont forget to hydrate.Im going to start building the man this weekend! Anyone who
would like to join in this burn let me know sooner then later.
Gifting will be alive and well here. I will make sure my camp has Breakfest and dinner
all 3 days. Not to mention ice cream. I was gifting homemade wine ice cream last year.
Amazing flavors... later burners, get in touch Four20ps@yahoo.com

Here's a pretty amazing event that just got underway on the site of PermaBurn:

And the PermaBurn website (which makes no mention of this event as far as I can tell at the time I post this):

It looks like PermaBurn's website was last updated in 2010.

Unfortunately, unless someone's having an event in the University of Wisconsin--Madison's dorms, I can't make it. (D---ed move in dates!)
