Postby Red Vixen » Wed Apr 01, 2009 9:05 pm

Doc you think we can borrow some of your Barbies for an off-playa art display at our next Sac Valley event on May 2nd.... AKA Carnal-Val Deux? We want you foothill peeps to feel at home down in the valley as come to partay and pillage.

Deb, for you the world is your oyster. We're having a surprise birthday party for my dad that evening (he'll be 85), but of course since he has Alzheimer's, every party is a surprise, but I digress. Anyway, you know where I live. Come by the house and we'll go the the storage shed in Newcastle and you can take whatever you need. BDV needs to be represented. Have you sent an email to the village? Maybe some of them like Blowfish would like to show up.

You know the saying... what happens in the storage shed stays in the storage shed...

BTW Doc, advised my Krewe that you want your village people well represented at the event... Our main DJ is incorporating YMCA into his mix just in honor of BDV...

You have been receiving the village-wide emails periodically haven't you? I know I sent one earlier this week. Anyway, just hit the Reply To All icon and send a message to everyone in the village. Sure some of them are in Alaska, Canada, Florida, England, and New Hampshire, but MOST of them are in the Sacramento-Placer-El Dorado County trifecta. And don't get me started on washing the playa dust from my Barbies off of you...that could take a lot longer than you think!

Then I would certainly suggest getting an early-arrival pass, and after we put up the shade structures and the shower system, I'll give you said promised massage, then we take the shower for a test drive. Only because, and I hope you can understand this, for the good and welfare of our village. A poorly functioning shower system is unacceptable, wouldn't you agree?

Yes very important to have a well function shower... (grins) looking forward to it. When are you back from Boston?

Reconnected with Harmony last nite at the Horse Cow fundraiser... we were so happy to find each other there... I will do what I can to help with the art car too.

Reminder for local BDV peeps.... Carnal-Val Deux

Postby Red Vixen » Sun Apr 19, 2009 12:46 pm

Doc wants you local village people to be represented at the the Rue Morgue Krewe's second event, Carnal-Val Deux, Devolving Sacramento, on May 2nd. Since its a mixer for foothill, valley and bay area burners and promoting playa camp art and local Horse Cow Gallery artists we want to see and your Barbies there.

Come out an see a fushion belly dance peformance by Unmata and dance to the mixes by area DJs, Dolomite, Phenix and Ribble. Starts at 8pm with a $5 door donation.

The event is being held again at the Silk Bar and Cafe, located at 1011 Del Paso Blvd in Sacramento across from the Globe Light RailStation with free parking behind the building by the entrance.

Feathers, horns, tails and scales are encouraged as we devolve into some tribal-apocalyptic fun.... its never too early to psych-up and stimulate our minds in playa preparations... 139 days till the man burns and decounting....

Still in Boston, but for any of you who care, I ran the Boston Marathon in a time of 4:33:37 which is 21 minutes faster than last year and about 11 minutes UNDER my goal, so I was very happy. I realize most of you have enough brains never to run a marathon, but if you do, Boston is the best.

Excellent point. Sure scared the shit out of me.

Hay, anybody heard when the Theme Camps/Villages start getting listed on the BM site? They're still stuck on 2008. Of course, it's hard to believe that anything Larry Harvey is involved with could somehow have gotten screwed up. Nope, nosiree Bob, not a chance.

Ygmir, you asked how close we'll be to Booby Bar. I heard from a placer, and this is very preliminary, but it looks like we'll be somewhere around 4:30 and C whereas the bOObys will try again for 3:00 and A. We'll know more come July I suspect.
