Burning Man 2009 Desktop BG

Postby n8chur » Thu Sep 17, 2009 10:12 pm

Sorry for cross posting, i just figured this might be a better spot for the post. Mods, feel free to delete whichever one you feel is in the wrong section. I couldn't find a good section for posting stuff like this...

Here is a desktop background i put together in memory of BM09 from a few panoramic shots and a few of the key monuments in my experience at Burning Man this year. Enjoy :D

feedback appreciated.

I will be updating these images soon, this is just a first draft, but I wanted to get it out there while the boards were still alive :) . I will definitely be at least updating the "man" image with a much higher quality version of the man and adjusting overall color/contrast/etc.

CHEERS!

Dude that is totally like woah. Would be even sweeter if one was available in addition to this as full screen as opposed to just the letterbox version. :)

I think I agree if you mean just image and no black border on top and bottom.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me.

That definitely replaces the photo of my housemate that I kept on my desktop to creep him out. Thanks and great work!
I volunteered at Burning Man and all I got was this stupid superiority complex.

Thanks so much for this! I was just thinking I needed a new desktop, but I am tired of my own photos.

Ahh..looking back on my first year at the burn. This is so very cool. Do you mind if I take this and pass it off to a friend of mine to work on a time line piece?? I think it would be super cool to make a digital image that somehow meshes together group experience at the burn year to year. Obviously I want to make it kind of abstract compared to this, but this image really struck me when I viewed it and I would love to give it new life early in 2011. Let me know if I have permission and I will get work, otherwise it is all yours!
