Awesome story!!! I can't wait to get *home* to hug My new and old friends, I miss it so much!
(sadly 9 years I lost My dad and never heard those words) RIP dad
Sry for your loss , my mom went early with alzheimers
I had to do it 1st, he was born in the 30's and him and my grandfather never said the words or hugged.
I've learned that when you love someone just tell them. I'm going to try and paraphrase something someone told me recently. Love is having the ability and willingness to let the ones that you care for to be what they choose for themselves without insisting that they satisfy you. And the act of loving in itself, without expectations is a wonderful, beautiful thing. I grew up in a big, loving Sicilian family. We told each other I love you and hugs were never ending! I cannot imagine not giving/getting hugs, or telling someone I love them. And another thing I've learned, is that you don't have to say I love you all the time to that one person in your life that you do love. There's this understanding. It's innate.
So tatonka, be aware that if/when we meet, be ready for a big hug! You too MSJ!
