After watching the lottery situation and aftermath last year, I don't think it is overly dick of you to hedge your bet, just be sure to bail out when you have what you need, so they will have a ticket for Trips before he starts to flip out.

My timestamp is 12:06 and still don´t have tickets, have to plan from Europe too
But I think our timestamp is good enough to plan the trip with no panic.

Plan your trip. Because if you plan your trip and STEP doesn't come through, you can find tickets in other ways. Whereas, if you don't plan your burn and STEP does come through, you're unable to get decent flights, usw. Worst come to worst, you can find something else to do in the states.

Last year I got a STEP ticket at the beginning of August after six months of uncertainty. Have faith in STEP and the almighty timestamp!!

Do not give up hope!! It is pretty early in the game to get stressed over the likely-hood of getting tickets...

Plan your burn, take time off, book travel arrangements, etc... A determined person will be able to find a ticket!

What about with STEP tickets? Had somebody purchased a ticket in the meanwhile?

Please people post here if you are purchasing a ticket through STEP and tell us your timestamp so we can guess our place in the queue?

I was in surgery when the tickets went on sale and completely missed the start of STEP. I didn't get in until 3/1... I wonder if there's any chance at all I'll get a ticket.

don't worry. if you want a ticket you'll get one. last year there was such a glut of tickets i wasn't even able to sell my extra

Doing well, thanks. I've been told that by a bunch of folks I know that are in camps, but they sold out so fast this year. I wasn't sure if that was people scalping or if folks just really wanted to go.

Nope. There's always a shit ton of tix for sale in August. Craigs list and this board will be overrun with them. Stay in STEP, you'll probably get one there first but you can always pass on the STEP ticket if you happen to get one elsewhere.

Yep. Everyone in STEP last year got a ticket, and there were tickets selling at a discount here and elsewhere.

Hopefully it will go similarly. Fingers crossed for you, Timujin. Get involved with regional groups and tell your friends & contacts you're looking, so they think of you first if they hear something.

Avoid tickets for higher than face value; they may be invalidated if the ticket team gets wind of it.
