My bunny T-Rex in his younger days. He is getting old now (13 + years) and developing some bald spots, but is just as cuddly as ever.

Nope, his demonic posession gives him an insatiable appetite for the souls of green vegetables and hay.

harley , my daugther Rachaels dog , i miss him :( He lived 12 years , kept getting out
came home shot thru the upper back. He made it home and layed down in his favorite spot. I seen him out there and wondered why he's just layin around. I go out and he raises his head to see me . I pet him and find the wound , I treat him inside , and he wants to go out. The bullet looked like it went thru the upper fold of his skin, and he was moving around. So i let him out and he went to his fav spot and lyed down. He passed just after that :(

He was chow-lab mix

Concur, and the dog ain't nothing to sneeze at either.

This is my nick namesake (sort of):

His name is Buddy. He's 5 years old now but has pancreatic cancer and won't be with us much longer. He has to eat every 4 hours to keep his blood sugar up. He's having a reasonably comfortable time of it so far. I don't know how I will muster the courage when it's time. When I come home, it's "Dino" time, I can't imagine how I will walk through the door the first time after he's gone.

But for now I'm just trying to make a very good friend as comfortable as I can.

oh man this just kills me...damn. But you got it right in that last sentance of yours. Just remember when it's time and he goes to console yourself that you gave him an awesome and stellar life. Sweet dog, they treasure us.

Someone once said that "people who take in a pet is setting themselves up for a heartache."
And that's so true.

What they don't say--at least not when they say that--is that heartache is the price we pay for being human, and skipping it is not good for our souls. Or even our hearts...
