Club Neu Invites Overseas Campers

Postby zorro sings » Wed Feb 20, 2013 4:44 pm

Our camp,Club Neu(formerly Club Verboten),has had the good fortune over the last 13 years to host an amazing assortment of overseas Burners. Most of them first time visitors to BRC and most of them great contributers to our camp.We are keenly aware that for most of our o/s friends this will be your first and probably, due to time distance and cash, last visit to BRC.We are set up so obligations are few and you can take in as much as you can while you can.

Here is a bit about us.

-First and foremost we are a revolutionary and socialist camp with our only mission being service to The People of Black Rock City. This is heroically achieved under the leadership and direction of experienced cadres fully trained in Suarezian Thought.

-We are a small camp with anywhere from 12-16 campers each year.We are recruiting early this year to see if it is possible to replace our glorious UK Contingent, whose works and contributions will be talked about for years to come, and who have unfortunately taken a leave of absence en masse.

-We are a dance club/music camp that hosts themed parties(following our retro-avant garde formula)each night. Our parties are usually well attended and believe our reputation is solid for providing a unique Project sound.

-Our location will,Inshallah, be around the same as last year.4:30 and Esplanade. This was a great spot and a privelege to be placed there.

Please PM for more information if you're interested.

We also welcome potential 2013 BRC citizens from the US and even Texas. If interested please let us know here or email clubverboten at aol dot com.We look forward to seeing you all soon. Thanks.

Does Seattle count as "overseas?"

I suppose if Texas is included then we must allow Seattle as well.Comrade Titwi we appreciate your illustration of a true and proud member of the Popular Masses. We hope to see you and Pinemom this year.

It's disappointing about losing the U.K. camp mates'.. Really wanted to do a short film with them this year. Also wanted to add that I am gearing up to bring my lighting & visual equipment to spice things up quite a bit.

Comrade CWicK,We look forward to your lighting service.CWicK survived,in his first year, one of the toughest BRC entry experiences we have ever seen and came out smiling. The iron will to have a good time was a fine example for everyone.

Lowz, better known at Club Neu as Jon Clod, came to us from France after responding to the similar 2010 recruitment post.In a meteoric rise up the Party and State glass ceiling comrade JC is now Brother No.3.What better title could we have given this slave for The People ?Is his burning desire to serve Through Suarez Thought not transparent in his deeds, and more importantly his words? As far as Canada goes we are, owing to its ambiant charms, willing to lift our one year enforced Canadian camper hiatus this year.

Finally to avoid confusion or to disguise it our camp name is pronounced "Club New".

Awe. That's really sad to hear about the UK camp mates! They will definitely be missed! :(

We're devising a plan for a new DJ booth this year and will hopefully try to recruit some people locally to help us construct/decorate it. We have a few ideas in mind and will email you some details about it soon.

In a further inducement to prospective campers both abroad and here,Club Neu pleased to announce negotiations to re-purchase our old Club Verboten tent have reached the final stages. If we pull the trigger on this our workers and artists will have a most excellent shade structure for their tents.

Scartch the Aussie as she is joining a massage camp. However we will most likely have three new UKers this year. That leaves 2-3 spots still open if there are any others with a burning desire to Serve The People.
