Looking forward to your wayward art!
However, I am not set up with an area to make art. I don't want to because I don't want to be tied to a camp schedule which includes clean up. I do not trust folks to keep a DIY art station MOOP free. My tiny table in front of my gallery is tiny on purpose, just big enough to hold the adoption forms/pens and a place to fill them out. Still, I end up with too many cups, and assorted random crap. I hate cleaning up after other people, so having events doesn't work for me.
But Fishy is right, there are opportunities, you just have to keep an eye out beforehand and then look through the guide when you get there. And then be completely distracted by shiny stuff and never get around to making art with the supplies you brought. I've quit bringing any art supplies, except an emergency art repair kit.
Necklace camp was nifty, but I never got in. And one year there were these complicated but cool metal and marble necklaces to make. And the steam whistle pottery making was amazing.
Unfinished projects rarely get finished on the playa. You may think you'll finish adorning your fancy google eyes parasol during the afternoons "when nothing is going on", but no, there's always something.
I'm too jaded to think up a good sig-line. Need more coffee.
