I always read this thread and I still don't know exactly what APOKLIPTIKA is. Camp, creed, nationality, ephemerial group if imaginary souls? Splain please.

Ratty, as a person who's visited the place several times over the years, I'd describe it as cold war era Soviet kitsch. An awesome level of campiness and culture that evokes all the best elements from old spy movies to Boris & Natasha from the old Bullwinkle cartoons, with other bits which escape my ability to describe it. Its tough to remember the details, after the first few shots of vodka things start to get hazy :)
