Hi Doc! It's actually at the top of the Palm Springs Tramway, at San Jacinto State Park. Yes, it's snowing up there.

I'm so very happy for the people I'm blessed with to have in my life. Each one is special in their own way. <3

Happy New Year everyone! I got a nice surprize today. My son come over and gave me two "special" gifts. I've decided not to brave the drunken idiots on the road tonight, stay home and watch movies and eat lots of snackies!

I am so darn happy! It's only 9 days into the new year, and so many good things are happening in my life! I got to the light at the end of the tunnel and it's bright and beautiful! :D

Suave Dog!

on another Happy Note, My daughter Sadie Jane has landed in Kona (last night) safe and sound. She met someone at our REno Decom last October. He is from Reno but lives in Hawaii too. He invited her over to try out island life and a life together. Hopefully this will work out for her, relationship or not. I was skeptical at first but he is a very nice and caring person. I trust that he will help her out and as I told her " Go while your young and free and see where this can take you"

I'm going to miss her something fierce though. She'll be back in August for the annual trip to BRC and I may have a tropical place to vacation once in a while... :D :D

2 days ago when I was extremely sad about her leaving this would of belonged in the "fuck" thread

Wow, that's a big deal, Lucky!

I hope it all goes wonderfully for her. If they have a happy time of it, you can't beat having a free place to stay in Hawaii. :)

(I'm still cross that my aunt moved back to the mainland.)

I'm so happy for Sadie Jane lucky! She'll have a a blast there!

I'm 99.9% packed up and ready to move tomorrow! I'm up to my eyeballs in boxes and my kitties aren't even phased! I'm taking a break for lunch then back to cleaning. All I have left to do is cleaning the bathroom and fridge and vacuum the carpets when all the stuff is out, ! *happy dancing all over the place* I absolutely love all of the great changes going on in my life! Congrats ma!

Sadie sent me pics of the yard from where she is staying. You can see the ocean and the yard has mangoes, oranges and bananas growing in it. INow this might not be a big deal for those of you in warmer climates but coming from N. Nevada why it's down right magical...

Mangoes, oranges, and bananas make a great smoothie! Sounds like Nirvana Jonsi! the heavenly place, not the band. However I like the band!

Oh my GOD. :D

Comic book heroes lift spirits, fight grime at Children’s Hospital

The patients at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh were barely awake Monday morning when the first ropes unfurled from the roof 12 floors up.

But when window washers clad as superheroes rappelled down the brick facades along Penn Avenue and 45th Street in Lawrenceville, little eyes were wide open.

Caleb Whitaker, 6, of Windber raced through a third-floor clinic — and catapulted himself over pint-sized furniture — to ogle Spider-Man, Batman, and Superman as they sprayed and wiped clean the glass panes. Captain America rounded out the comic-book foursome, assembled at no charge, thanks to Allegheny Window Cleaning Inc. of Springdale.

“We heard people yelling: ‘It's Spider-Man!' When the other ones appeared, it was just kind of amazing,” said Joe Hartnett, 42, of Castle Shannon. His rapt daughter Leah, 6, who accompanied her younger brother, “didn't quite believe it” at first.
