Most definitely; It also had the two magical properties of (a) never being *that* crowded so you didn't have to wait long, and (b) they brought a TON of supplies so they didn't run out too early.
There was also that shave ice camp right next to Pickle Joint... can't recall the name.
And the Black Rock Farmers Market!

Hey hey hey you know there is a Med Station at 3:00 Plaza, right? Did you also know that the night shift is the EMS shift that does not get fed by the BMorg? :? Perhaps you could open up some night between 11 and 7 and give us a treat? Or maybe open up early once at 7-7:30, when we get off, I always think I will go out to play in the early morning sun but am always so freezing cold & hungry I just head back to my camp. Even a coffee camp would be fantastic at that hour.

NICE idea, MDF. I never thought about the fact there's no night shift meal. (I wonder if the commissary is even open, though?) I'll see if I still have an email address for volunteer feedback. 3am would be the perfect mid-shift time.

To any Plaza food camp who can consider feeding a late night meal to Emergency Services, 1st: Wow, you're awesome, and 2nd: ESD staff can't leave simultaneously, or be gone long, but it works to visit on the night in question & say that if anyone currently on duty (usually 6-7 people, tops) stops by in uniform within X number of minutes, they may line-jump. Pancake Playhouse did this in 2010, and it was so kind. One of the finest breakfasts of my life. :)

Bwahahahahahahaa, Savannah thank you. The commissary being closed at night should not prevent them from leaving sandwiches for us. :? But a food-camp arranging a night shift treat would be awesome. 8)

You're right, sandwiches could do well, wrapped and chilled before the commissary closes. I'm definitely going to suggest it. (And that way there could be a veggie option. There's always at least one vegetarian on duty.)

I have caffeine, high-protein snacks and electrolytes in my pack on duty, but it is always the Best Day Ever if mealtime happens.

I'll be be camping with Figjam, his cousin Lauri, and geospyder just joined us! Figgy and I will have a taco stand serving shredded beef tacos. It won't be advertised though. We'll just ask folks walking by if they'd like a taco! Another day it'll be PB&J sammies, and maybe pork carnitas in green chili sauce! It'll be a labor of love!
Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

I was trying to explain the Snack Food Glory Hole to a non burner friend. Fail.

I had the strangest snack. I think it was a piece of dried apricot in sweet chilli sauce warped in Nori? and yeah took a bit to trust burners enough to stick your mouth up to a hole in the wall.
