Was in a telephone meeting for the ARTery this afternoon. How to make it better than last year. Felt soooo good to be doing Burner stuff again!

Been rehearsing for this show that we are doing at the end of the month. Every night from 6 to 9 with Friday and Saturday nights off. We have about 25 folks in the cast, 20 songs from various shows with the words adjusted to reflect tennis situations, particularly a big tournament that we have each year that is the social event of the year at our tennis club. We run for 3 nights and usually get an audience of about 500 plus over the three performances. The great wisdom is to keep me off stage to the maximum and for lord's sake, don't let me sing or dance. My role is assistant director, stage manager, ticket sales and promotion and publicity and anything else that needs doing. We have staged 11 productions over the past 20 years and I vow never to do it again, until the curtain rises, the music starts, and I'm thinking when do we start the next show! No business like show business!
