So do like most everyone else and drive to Roseville, catch the train there, and be prepared to party like a rock star.

I just want to let everyone know, the Amtrak Party Train is now "OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT!!! We are waiting on two more checks, and once they arrive if anybody in the Reno-Tahoe-Dayton-Carson City area would like me to secure them a room ($50 including all taxes) on the party floor of the Sands Regency, PM me and I'll make the arrangements. Would certainly like to hear from Pinemom, Killbuck, Wildman, Naked Paula, and some of the others who were there last year. Where the hell did you people disappear to? Oh well, I won't make the same mistake this time around. And remember, for twenty bucks we're having champagne brunch at Harrah's Sunday morning (the 27th) at 11:30 a.m. I intend on securing a room in the back like last year. Who knows when nudity might rear it's ugly (in Ygmir's case) head.

Cheer up buddy, I got three bottle of absinthe for my birthday. I'll make sure to share with you, fair enough? Oh, and I was thinking about dropping by your place this weekend (probably Saturday if that works for you) with the goodies. Is that OK?

This makes it sound like hurrying into your pants is an hour-long process, requiring a spotter, and frequent breaks for rest.

Waiting to hear back from Doc if I can still get a room. Would stay Sun night too and fly in Fri night
Elorrum wrote:47.70 with taxes included for Saturday is Doc's deal, and it's good, but I wasn't sure that it was good for Sunday as well. (and I didn't ask) um, Sunday is cheaper, so the average for the two nights for the straight Sand's price is 42.00 a night plus the taxes.

I'm securing a room for Winebuff. We are asking $50 (including all taxes). The two bucks is for my trouble and will be used to buy alcohol. Now that the trip is sold out, we need to start planning the logistics for the party Saturday night. I am not going to be able to do the planning, so Lucky420 or Ygmir or Triken or or Tinkermom or Moonrise or Pinemom/Killbuck/Wildman/anyoneelsefromReno will need to make some decisions. What time does it start? (We'll get to the Sands around 4:30) Where will it be held? (The 15th floor of the Empress Tower--my choice--or Ygmir's suite) If on the 15th floor, whose room is the go-to room? I intend to ask for these people's rooms to be adjacent (if possible, no promises):
Moonrise-Triken-Lucky420-Tinkermom-MyDearFriend-Winebuff so that would be a good place to start. The nexus if you will. I do think that a trip to the huge Jacuzzi on the 17th floor would certainly be in order. And remember, and this is open to everybody, on Sunday morning at 11:30 we will be having champagne brunch at Harrah's ($20/person including tax and tip). OK, now what do we do?

I get in Friday night about 8pm then leave Monday
Morning at 8. Bringing my husband who is not
into BM but he will visit his sister in Reno while
I play. I will be available lets say about 3-4 on
Saturday if we want to brainstorm the party.
Love the potluck booze idea. Is there a restaurant
there for dinner for everyone to soak up
the booze? Walk down then back to the 15th floor?
Btw, Julie Flavin here aka Winebuff.

winebuff, there is an excellent buffet at the sands. reasonably priced (to me anyway) and I am officially jealous. i seriously contemplated flying to reno for a long weekend but decided that money would be better spent once i have my BM things in place. HAVE FUN

Grai, so sorry you live so far away... you will be missed in Reno, for sure!

(thinking, thinking, *ouch*) :?

Those of us arriving early could get together and maybe come up with a buffet of sorts, either in the bar, if they'll let us, or in one of the rooms. We'll have time to make a list, comparing it to anything the 'locals' might bring, and shop for a nice assortment of munchies. It's seldom a bad idea to have food around with all that drinking! (I'm just guessing, here... there will be drinking, no?)
