Cargo Cult - Who is John Frum? He is known to us by many names, this Visitor from Elsewhere, dispenser of endless abundance and wielder of mysterious technologies: John Frum, Quetzalcoatl, Osiris, "Bob." His cargo is splendid, his generosity boundless, his motives beyond our understanding. But across the ages and around the world, the stories all agree: one day he will return, bearing great gifts. Our theme this year asks three related questions; who is John Frum, where is he really from, and where, on spaceship Earth, are we all going?

I'm gonna search the attic for my Zena costume. I wonder if my daughter returned it after her wedding. I am a Jewish Princess Zena.

Not long after WWII I saw a missionaries film from a South Pacific inland..
It was showing how the local natives were coping after the war.
They had built a thatch hut on tall poles for a control tower. Then placed fire pits on each side of a run way. They` were trying to attract the great bird that had brought so much before..
Then about thirty years ago.. I read a news item, That civilization had reached it's farthest outpost.. A native of Borneo was seen having replaced the bone in his nose with a ball point pen.
This was long before the practice was tagged with the name Cargo Cult.
Modern tribes have to name everything and put it in a box..
BRC citizens live outside of the box..

Many orthodox people speak as though it were the business of sceptics to disprove received dogmas rather than of dogmatists to prove them. This is, of course, a mistake. If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided I were careful to add that the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes. But if I were to go on to say that, since my assertion cannot be disproved, it is intolerable presumption on the part of human reason to doubt it, I should rightly be thought to be talking nonsense. If, however, the existence of such a teapot were affirmed in ancient books, taught as the sacred truth every Sunday, and instilled into the minds of children at school, hesitation to believe in its existence would become a mark of eccentricity and entitle the doubter to the attentions of the psychiatrist in an enlightened age or of the Inquisitor in an earlier time

So that's where that tea pot went.. The Mad Hatter told me, he saw the door mouse hide under his vest..
Only believers of this old book will understand my feeling for the untea pot.
