It's great work and all, but I don't know how I feel about trying to entice 'celebrity artists' to the event. Great if that's something he wants to do on his own, but otherwise just doesn't seem right - sorta like a sound camp trying to line up and bring in performers that wouldn't otherwise make the trek out.
Normally I'd think so too, but his pattern is to go places and run his machines on beaches. What good is a walking machine in a gallery?
He's already planning a trip to america, so we don't have to lure him across the briney deep. We just have to persuade him to bring his priceless machinery out into the dust. They may very well be too fragile, being made so wind efficient.
Of course no one will come if they don't want to. Burning man isn't as universally known as everyone attending thinks. And kinetic artists are hardly comparable to rappers and djs. I'm afraid conditions may be the real issue for his machines. Complex valves may not tolerate dust, even if he is willing to expose them.
