Life on the grid

That could actually be a hell of a lot of fun!
And rather than esplanade going around the inside ring of the playa, it would go around the out side of the square blocks. The major sound camps would be at the top left and top right corners.
Then when you went out to walk the esplanade, if you walked the whole thing, you would end up back at where you started.

The Temple could be on the south side of the city, and the Man on the north side of the city. Each about 2,000ft out from the edge of the city.

A giant laser pointed straight up would mark the center of the square grid. That point would be (0,0). Addresses would be more be based off a coordinate grid system.
