spray on sunscreen is flamable

Postby Straightveg » Fri Sep 21, 2012 11:27 am

I saw a lot of spray on sunscreen out there, and wanted to give a heads-up to anyone who might not know this yet. Even when spray on sunscreen has dried, avoid open flame and other sources of ignition, it can ignite and ruin your day/burn.

Even after it dries?? The victim said it was dry. That's not the best source of info. I'm skeptical.

Two persons. Same sunscreen. Find out which product and avoid it.

A guy cooking grilling food, and another welding right afterwards? I'm wondering if something else isn't up. Like the griller spraying lighter fluid on his coals, or the welder soaking in it as opposed to having it "dry". In the latter case, 3rd degree burns? Charred skin? Maybe if she were doused in the alcohol and it was still visibly wet.

This actually brings up another question I've had. I noticed that lots of people had crazy colored wigs out there. Every wig of that type I've come across has a warning to keep away from heat or flame....so is there a brand/type of crazy colored wig that's not super flammable or is this just a case of "use at your own risk" ?

They are ALL ready to melt into a glob if you get too close. You could go with an old human hair wig and dye it. At least they don't stick to you when they flame.

I try to bring natural fiber clothes to the burn. And those furry coats are made from the same petroleum products as those wigs.

Gradually you'll be able to tell the veterans from the birgins. Fur is SOooo yesterday. I lost my favorite fur vest and I'm not even sad. Next year it'll be a 3/4 length, belted, embellished coat for me. Top hats are passe and band hats are in. Along with walking sticks and decorated deck shoes. Some of the crowd is ageing well.

My thoughts exactly. I saw this thread title and I thought, "and the problem is?" lol

Now we can all be the burning man, and woman,

Flame on!
