Right, they said that last year.

We already know the fans in the 'Lou are great, if not better than any Red Sox fans..... Didja see the intensity on their faces in game 3? If the Giants get down on themselves, they're finished. The Cardinals simply try to find a way to WIN.

Oh, and to the poster of Yogi Berra......you know where he was raised, don't you?

St. Louis Italian district....the Hill.....along with Joe Garagiola and a bunch of others.

Smallball *this*, Redbirds.

Garagiola was a total homer punk as a broadcaster in the '87 pennant series. Sweet revenge.

I'll grant you that the Giants won. Congratulations to them.

I just wonder if any Card ever got a standing ovation when they hit a homer in Candlestick Park. Giant players get a standing ovation when they hit a homer in Busch. Quality fans. That's half the game - psychology, don't cha know?

Both did well, proving yet again that the NL is the place to be.

Opposing players usually get a golf clap if they complete a difficult field play, unless they're wearing Dodger blue. You have to consider both the Giant & Dodger franchises inherited a New York state of mind.

Now, the Padres definitely have had some psychos in the stands. In '84 versus the Cubs for the pennant, they were hanging teddy bears in effigy. Say what you want about Cub fans, they didn't deserve that.

I'll tell you one thing, Bob. Though they have the WORST franchise in all of MLB, the Royals do have the best tailgating. It's the same for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL......all those BBQ joints coming out to the ballpark with mobile operations, let alone the RV tailgaters. I think it's something great about Kansas City. Hell, I've even seen BBQs up and running outside the professional wrestling events.

BBQ and Kansas City go together like San Francisco and the Golden Gate....it's just right.

I'm just waiting until somebody gets a tailgate party going before Thunderdome at the event. THAT will be epic.

Nothing like KC bbq, but I was hoping for Balti for an all-orange&black series, though Balti bbq is mos def an acquired taste.

The Giants....the only "mystical" team in baseball. Fitting that they would be homed in San Francisco, California. Amazing players, amazing team spirit, amazing talent, they're like a professional bee hive.......

Ladies... this pic from the sfgate.com prompts me to ask -- is this really a look you want to sport when the younger demographic is overturning cars, torching debris boxes and pushing each other into the fires? Clearly, the push-up jog bra does *something* for her, except maybe help her escape the Giant Zombie Apocalypse.

I stopped being a loyal team sports fan when I realized that most of the players would quit and move to another team as soon as they are offered a few million more.

I enjoyed watching the fireworks show put on by the pyro across the street. As long as the sparks from his airbursts land on his house and not mine.

Yeah, very happy for Zito. Tough nuts being the fifth starter on a team that gives you mediocre run support.
